Ecolodge

Our beautiful cabins are set on the banks of the Tuichi river, 3 hours away from Rurrenabaque by boat. Nestled right in the heart of the Madidi National Park, the ecolodge provides visitors with an opportunity to experience the real magic of the jungle and interact with the natural environment.
The architecture reflects the traditional housing style of Amazon cultures and the cabins have been constructed using local materials sourced from the surounding area that don´t harm the environment. We have made use of age-old wisdom from our Uchupiamonas ancestors to provide comfort and safety at our facility.

Surrounding the ecolodge, we have designed a network of more than 40kms of trails that lead visitors through the tropical rainforest. Following the trails allows visitors to discover the amazing jungle flora and fauna.

At the ecolodge we make every effort to be as sustainable and environmentally friendly as possible. For example, lighting is provided by alternative energy sources and is available for 4 hours per day in the evening. Water for washing facilities is sourced from a natural spring. We also recycle organic waste on site and take any inorganic waste back to Rurrenabaque to be recycled there.

We make every efforts to reduce our ecological footprint. Without your help this is not be possible so please be as environmentally mindful as possible during your stay.

Accommodation

Our accommodation can host up to 18 guests in traditional-style cabins where visitors will enjoy both comfort and tranquility.

The lodge consists of 4 private rooms with private bathroomsand 6 private rooms with shared bathrooms. You can choose between marital rooms, twin rooms and triple rooms. There are 4 separate bathrooms available for the shared bathroom option. All our rooms come with towels, other bathroom essentials and mosquito nets. We also have hammocks for relaxing and reading in after the jungle hikes.

The cabins are set deep in the rainforest surrounded by a constant symphony of birds singing and monkeys howling, especially at dusk and dawn. Their unique location will ensure your stay in the jungle is truly special.

ABOUT US

Madidi Jungle Ecolodge is a low-impact, rainforest eco-venture created and sustained 100% by indigenous people who live in the heart of Bolivia's Madidi National Park. We opened to visitors in early 2011 on community lands of San Jose de Uchupiamonas that span 210,000 hectares of pristine tropical rainforest within Madidi National Park in the Bolivian Amazonia.
