Madidi Jungle Ecolodge is a low-impact rainforest eco-venture created and sustained 100% by indigenous families from the heart of Bolivia's Madidi National Park. San Jose de Uchupiamonas is a Communal Land Territory that spans 210 thousand hectares of primary rainforest within the Madidi National Park, in the Bolivian Amazon.
The Ecolodge is accessible by a 3.5 hour boat ride from Rurrenabaque. Our Ecolodge is a prime location for wildlife viewing and serves as the base for a variety of hikes with different intensities. We have designed the Ecolodge in harmony with the environment, rescuing the traditional architecture of Amazon cultures, using ancient construction techniques and local materials found in the rainforest. With a maximum capacity of 18 visitors, our exclusive cabins (private/shared bathroom) offer comfort and safety making your stay in the jungle an enjoyable and pleasant experience.
Madidi Jungle Ecolodge offers boat transportation, comfortable accommodations and a menu of delicious meals based on traditional rainforest ingredients. We provide a personalized service, facilitating bilingual native guides (English and Spanish), passionate and expert in rainforest interpretation. Our local guides will walk you through the rainforest into a labyrinth of trails where you will enjoy the exotic flora and fauna.
Madidi National Park is one of the most biodiverse areas on the Planet, covering a surface of 1.895.750 hectares (18.957 km2), and is considered by scientifics as a "Biodiversity Hotspot". The Tropical Andes Hotspot has the greatest diversity of endemic species on the planet, including around 6,000 species of vascular plants, over 200 mammal species and more than 1,000 species of neotropical birds.
